As a member of Friends of Dragon Run you will be taking an active role in preserving this pristine waterway. You will be protecting ancient bald cypress trees, threatened species of birds and plants, such as prothonotary warblers and feather foil, as well as hundreds of other species of plants and animals.
How Much Does It Cost?
A Friends of Dragon Run annual membership is a minimum of $30 for each individual, $50 per couple, and is valid for one year. We also offer life memberships at $1,000 per individual or couple. We welcome any denomination you wish to make. Friends of Dragon Run, Inc. is a non-profit corporation with status under Section 501_C)_3) of the Federal Internal Revenue code. Your membership dues and donations are tax deductible within the provisions of the law.
How Will My Membership Fee Be Used?
Annual dues will be used for land purchases, management and stewardship expenses, paddle equipment purchases and repairs, and operating costs such as taxes and insurance. The paddle trips provide additional income to help us perform our mission, but the annual dues provide a steady income to meet FODR’s basic needs. All board, committee, paddle, and logistic crew members are volunteers and all the funds we receive are used to fulfill our goals to serve as good stewards and to share and educate others about Dragon Run.
What Are The Benefits?
Membership benefits include voting rights to elect directors, participation in member-only events, and participation in volunteer activities such as land stewardship, paddle crew and logistics personnel, trail maintenance, and more. We also offer member-only events such as a series of guided nature walks on our properties throughout the year.
How To Join or Renew a Membership
Note: Annual Memberships will expire one year after transaction date.
Auto-Renewal memberships will automatically renew each year at the same time so you will not have to remember! Choose Auto-Renewal on the right side of the form.
