During 2026, we joined the Virginia Conservation Network (VCN) to increase our knowledge and advocacy on a variety of current environmental challenges for Dragon Run. These include PFAS (Forever

Chemicals), plastics and waste reduction, and land conversion (Data Centers and Solar Farms).

Forever Chemicals: STOPPING PFAS POLLUTION AT ITS SOURCE

The VCN has been active for many years with its campaign to eliminate environmental and human health impacts of these commonly called 'Forever Chemicals'. They are known so because, unlike most other chemicals, they do not break down but instead build up and persist in our bodies, soil, water, and wildlife. Even at very low levels, these chemicals can have significant environmental and health impacts.
